Steve and Stephanie’s Wedding

Hey Y’all!  I’ve been over in Ga the last few days doing a boudior shoot with my partner in crime, Michelle!  We had such a great time doing it and the pictures turned out stunning!  The woman is making a book for her husband for Valentine’s Day and I really think he is going to love it!  His wife looks so lovely and classy!  However, those photos don’t belong on a Children and Family blog so I shall take this opportunity to share a recent wedding that is near and dear to my heart!  The groom is a good friend of both Jeff and I from college and he choose the perfect woman for him to be his wife! (well…they chose each other!)  She is so sweet and beautiful, I couldn’t be happier for the two of them!  Here is the slideshow from their special day, enjoy!

Baby Jake {My Nephew}

So my hubby and I traveled up to New Jersey a few weeks ago to visit his family for the holidays. It was wonderful seeing everyone, it’s hard being so far away sometimes. It’s been three months since my baby nephew was born and he is so big already! I cannot believe how incredibly fast they grow! He is eating like a champ, holding his head up, and jumping in a jumperoo. I was shocked! I mean aren”t they supposed to be like 8 months old before they do that?!? I guess I’ve got a lot to learn. The whole time I was holding little Jakey, I was imaging how he and Jackson will be such great buddies. It won’t be long before they’ll be laughing, playing, and getting into trouble together. It’s nice to have a cousin so close in age, it makes the holidays fun! Here are a couple of photos of my prescious baby nephew…I miss him already.

Here’s his Mr. Serious face…I love it! :)

Also, I’ve been having a MAJOR phone issue recently…as in my phone is just ceasing to function properly!  I’m hoping the sweet people at Apple will be able to do CPR on it because I don’t want to replace it and I N-E-E-D it!  They’re super awesome about helping their customers out though, so I have faith! ;) However, every photog I know has an iPhone so I’m posting this on the off chance that someone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it!  Hook a sister up!  So here is the deal…

It says: “This accessory is not made to work with an iPhone.  Would you like to turn on airplane mode to reduce audio interfearance? You will not be able to make or receive calls.”  Please note that there is NO accesory plugged in, I don’t even own any accesories. LOL!  If I hit yes, it switches to airplane mode which basically makes it a fancy iPod.  If I hit No, it just pops right back up and we go round and round and round.  Sigh.  Oh iPhone, I love you so much, don’t fail me now!  Help if you can!  Thanks! ;)

The baby’s room is {almost} done!!

Soooo, pretty much from the moment that I found out that I was pregnant, but definetly since the day we found out that he was going to be a he, I’ve been chomping at the bit to do the baby’s room.  I have had it all in my head for quite sometime but my husbnd has been telling me to wait.  ”We have plently of time,” he’d tell me.  And we did.  We still do.  However, the artist in me just neeeeeeeeded to do it!  It makes me feel more connected to him and anything that does that, I LOVE!  So this past weekend, my mom and my hubby painted my walls for me, didn’t they do a good job?  Then on Monday, they worked to put all the furniture together (who knew you had to assemble it?!?!) and then I put everything where it was supposed to be!  I had to put all my mommy touches in it!  My husband now knows that you don’t mess with a pregnant, nesting mama! ;-)

And because no post could ever be complete without some pictures of my wonderful clients, check out this picture of Baby Caden and Baby Grace.  I will be photographing them six times throughout this first year of theirs and I can’t wit to see how they change.  There is just something about being a twin that I think is so special and magical!  I think the caption for this photo should read “Ohhhhhhhhh I’m telling on you!!!”

P.S. To those of you who are awesome and leave me comments, I didn’t mean to delete them!  I’ve been having comment spam issues and accidently did it! Sorry!

{Baby Ava}

I’m so behind on my blogging that it isn’t even funny!  Part of my new year’s objectives is to blog more. (I’m not committing to how much “more,” just more! :) )  Today I had the pleasure of photographing little baby Ava.  This peanut was such a great little model! She curled right on up and let me play with her! Many thanks to the little one!  Her parents were very fun and a complete pleasure to work with!  Look how sweet their daughter is… Aw!

And just as a bit of humor, check out what happened to Dad!  (The orange streak is what you think it is! ;) ) He handled it so well and laughed, he’s making a fabulous dad already!
